Paul Shaviv is a well-known lecturer for synagogues and Adult Education courses in Toronto, Manhattan and Florida. He loves talking about interesting, unknown and unfamiliar corners of Jewish history. Originally from the UK, he has lived in North America for many years. In 2010 he was awarded the Max M. Fisher Prize for Excellence in Jewish Education. Paul is a graduate of both Cambridge and Oxford Universities; he has written and broadcast extensively on Jewish history and Israeli-Jewish affairs. He is married to Michelle Stein, and has three children, ten grandchildren, and “far too many books”!
