With over 17 years of experience as a chazzan and Ba’al Koreh in South Florida, Michael Mizrahi has carved for himself a very impressive reputation. He has been invited as a guest Chazzan for many High Holiday programs across South Florida as well as cruises in the Caribbean. A Miami native, Michael began his career in Jewish leadership at the age of 15 as the official Ba’al Koreh at Magen David Synagogue of North Miami Beach. After graduating high school, he attended Yeshivat Chofetz Chaim of Vancouver as well as Miami for 5 years. Following his marriage in 2013, he continued his career as the Ba’al Koreh at Young Israel of Aventura. For the past 6 years, he has served as the Chazzan and Ba’al Koreh of the Moroccan minyan at the Aventura Chabad. In addition to leading weekly, Shabbat, and holiday services, Michael also tutors many boys in the South Florida community in preparation for their bar mitzvah. Michael specializes in Moroccan-Sephardic and Ashkenazi reading styles. He takes pride in making everyone feel comfortable and involved in Tefila services. Michael resides in Aventura with his wife Corinne and two children Jackie and Eitan.
