Rabbi Elliot Mathias is the COO Global of Aish, overseeing programmatic and educational activities outside of Israel, including Aish’s online presence and branches around the world. Under Rabbi Mathias’ leadership, Aish has launched an ambitious vision to engage 3 million Jews around the world with meaningful Jewish content online.

Rabbi Mathias is a student of Rav Noach Weinberg zt”l, the founder of Aish and pioneer of the modern outreach movement.

Rabbi Mathias is also Executive Director of Aish New York. Under his leadership Aish has launched innovative initiatives such as Clean Speech NY, an
educational campaign that has thousands of Jews in the greater NY area studying and incorporating ideas of positive speech based on Jewish wisdom; and The Jewish Wisdom Society, a community of professionals and philanthropists who recognize the profound impact Jewish ideas have had on human civilization and who explore together Jewish ideas at exclusive events, study groups, and individualized Jewish study programs.

Rabbi Mathias is the Founder of Hasbara Fellowships, a leading pro-Israel advocacy organization working with over 90 Universities across North America. Hasbara Fellowships educates, trains and supports college students to effectively advocate for Israel on their campuses, standing up to BDS and other anti-Israel propaganda. Rabbi Mathias created Hasbara Fellowships while studying at Aish in Jerusalem, as a partnership between the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Aish.

Rabbi Mathias was a Board member of the Jewish Federation of Greater Metrowest NJ from 2014-2017 and was also the Chair of the Community Relations Committee of the Jewish Federation of Greater Metrowest NJ.

Rabbi Mathias graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in Political Communications and studied for 5 years at Yeshiva Aish HaTorah in Jerusalem where he received his Rabbinic ordination. He currently lives with his wife and children in Livingston, New Jersey.
