Allison Chlimper, owner of Barrel wine and Cheese, is a level 2 sommelier with over 24 years of experience in the food and wine industry. Originally from Central Florida she was not brought up in the Kosher world, which allowed her to gain most of her experience in the non-kosher food and wine industry. She was able to learn the wine craft from world renowned elite sommeliers. After becoming kosher she was able to use this knowledge and apply it to the kosher wine world. Fulfilling her lifelong dream of opening a kosher restaurant which is also the first kosher winebar of its kind in the US! Allison has a strong passion not only for wine, but also for people, she truly cares about each individual’s pallette and strives to find the right wine for each person no matter their level or knowledge of wine.
